Portrait of Pieter Camper (1722-1789) Finish:20-pack 'Southwark Bridge in Course ofHead and shoulder portrait within a decorative oval framing device with laurel leaves. Camper is viewed from behind, head turned in near profile. Inscribed: 'PETRUS CAMPER. Reinr. Vinkeles ad vivum delin. et sculp,1778'. Inscribed in ink 'Wadd' and in pencil lower left '1750' and lower right '1 6'. Pieter [Petrus] Camper was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1750. Original: engraving. 1778
