Spiraea Sparkling Champagne, 3L Handmade with each pink flower fadingThe hardy, deciduous shrub, Spiraea japonica Sparkling Champagne, is notable for the colour it offers the garden throughout many seasons. The foliage begins as pinky red in spring, maturing to a lime green colour in summer, when it is covered with dainty clusters of rose pink flowers in flattened heads, which prove irresistible to butterflies and other pollinators. In autumn, the foliage has a last hurrah turning yellow, red and orange, before falling.
