I found this painted wood sculpture of a seal or sea lion balancing a ball at the estate sale of an artist

The vase is signed on the bottom but I am uncertain of the maker

Finely Woven Presumed Peruvian Fine Cotton Table Runner (or Shawl!) Fat Lava era possibly original to the pieceI have so much to learn about textiles and weaving traditions, but I do think I am pretty good at recognizing beautiful pieces. This one is certainly that, finely woven of high quality cotton with a finish that gives it the feel of raw silk. The ground is predominately black, with an aubergine border and an array of patterns in yellow, white, green, blue and red the same on either side of the center.
