Marvelous Antique Folk Art Indian Chief Watercolor Drawing drawing of cat which is I think inI purchased this and a second naive watercolor drawing, surely by the same maker, from a seller in Pennsylvania, who found them tucked in the back of a late 19th century scrapbook. With gun in one hand, dagger in the other, this incredible feathered headdress, painted face, and streaming hair, I find it incredibly expressive and potent, in a manner not unlike ledger drawings, though I am pretty sure this is not a Native American piece. Executed in
